Mamotale Game Lodge is situated 26km from Ohrigstad in Mpumalanga (malaria free).  Nestled between spectacular views of the Drakensberg Mountains and overlooking valleys.

"Mamotale" literally means "Place where it is always green", and this is evident from the lovely bushveld surroundings with indigenous trees such as Mogaba’s, Boekenhout, Buffalo Thorn, Olienhout, Marula, Weaping Boer Bean, Pepper Bark Tree.

This is also a Bird watcher's paradise. Watch closely and you’ll spot a Bosloerie (Narina Trogon), Purple Crested Loerie, Black Eagle, Spotted Eagle Owl, Chin Spot Battis, Giant Kingfisher, just to name a few.

Mamotale also boast a variety of game where you can enjoy a Sundowner Drive with stunning views!  We are situated close to various tourist attractions well-known Worldwide for the unique African and bushveld scenery, as well as the Kruger National park for it's Big Five wild animals (Elephant, Rhinoceros, Buffalo, Leopard and Lion). 

Mamotale Game Lodge offers some leisure activity for everyone's taste.  You can enjoy our 4x4 Routes, Hiking, Mountain Biking, Bird Watching, Rifle & Bow Hunting, Bass Fishing (catch & release), Sundowner Drives or just relax around the swimming pool on the magnificent deck overlooking the valley.
